Mandela Day - A Call to Action in Blikkiesdorp

1. Establishing a library in the community of Blikkiesdorp and allowing the volunteers time to read to the youth of this community;
2. Undertaking a Read-A-Thon day activating and participating in the notion that reading is more just an educational tool but that it can be fun too;
3. Providing a greening aspect by planting two starter 5x5m gardens together with starter vegetable gardens (6 + 7); 67 indigenous trees as well as fruit trees in and around the community and planting trees with a purpose such as citrus trees;
4. Providing and creating an outdoor street studio which will capture family portraits; and
5. Painting homes and conducting street murals
