Warm Winter Lunch for farm labourers
We're so excited to be counting down the days to our annual Mandela Day Lunch! The Chameleons Montessori School in Durbanville has invited the Nitida Wine Farm labourers and their families to lunch this coming Sunday (22nd July). We will be preparing lunch and food parcels for the families from items donated by all the children in the school. The Primary school students will be cooking curried mince and rice for the lunch on Friday morning at school. It is such a lovely way to build community spirit and for the school children to give something back to the labourers on the farm where they attend school. The families will also go home with a nurturing food parcel to keep them extra warm and protected during the cold winter weather. As a school community we always look forward to the opportunity that Madela Day lends for building stronger community ties and giving something back to our community.
