Toys for Africa

It is so easy to become negative when you are in our line of work. Our stats show that for every 1000 contacts we make, we only get 1 sponsorship back. So in reality we get told NO a lot. Money makes our work tick and it is not always easy. We used the whole of August for planning purposes and organising our Drakensberg Toy Drive. Just for 30 days we were not interested in hearing NO. Now to the good news.

When Forgood introduced the Needs category, we were sceptical of who would read it. But looking at what we have thanks to Needs been answered, there is no doubt that it works. First we had Terri and Jennifer each donate towards toys, which we handed out on our May Drive. Then we had Aneil offer his time to help us get our NPO paperwork ready and although we have not had the time to get back to him as we are changing logos, etc, the offer from him is still there. The we had someone on Forgood tell a friend about our banner need and today we have a brand new banner which assists us quite a lot. Taryn offered to do our business cards and she will do our newsletter. Two ladies offered to assist with our website. Jared sponsored our toys for TLC Ministries straight from our needs list.

And we might be even forgetting a few. Thank you forgood for the opportunity to do what we do, so much better.
