Phindile received her spectacles....
Our little Phindile has received her spectacles - she was extremely confused with them and struggled to keep them on her face. She also could not work out the depth perception. She has already broken them and I think it is due to her confusion. As hopeful as we were that this could have been a solution to her very bad squint in both eyes, I am not optimistic. She is too young and naive to be able to cope with the glasses. What a pity.
Now it looks as though we are going to have to go with the other option of the corrective surgery. The surgery will be done at Johannesburg Hospital at no cost - however her mom will have to be sponsored funds to assist her with the transport back and forth and perhaps overnight stays so she can be close to her precious little child.
