Rebuilding A Home
In the early hours of Friday 3 August, an elderly couple and their son lost their home and everything in it due to a shack fire. The father is 70 years old, mother is 67 and their son is 43. The mother and the son are handicapped. It broke our heart seeing the father trying to explain to his wife and son what happened. All they did was look at him and ask him why he was crying. AYCD saw the need and through a partnership with Comeback Mission and Fire within Youth of Tshepisong, we took on the task of rebuilding this home. Through donations from friends and supporters, equipment was bought, clothes, food and other household items were aquired.
On Saturday 4 August the team started the task of rebuilding the home. We are glad to say the this home was successfully rebuilt and furnished.
