  • Become a mentor
A mentor is someone that guides another person through life, helping them make decisions and supporting them through life’s journey. Be on the lookout for someone who could benefit from your life experiences. Whether you’re a mentor guru or just a beginner, learn these 20 ways to be a great mentor.

  • Celebrate your mentors
Reflect back on your life to see who has influenced it for good. Who were the people who kept you on track, who inspired you … who mentored you? Think about how your life would have been had you not met these people. That’s the power of mentoring. If possible, call or write to them and thank them for their role in your life. They may be inspired to mentor someone else too.

  • Share your values
Sharing your values with others is important. If you talk about them to a younger person, they will think about these values when making important decisions. Heartlines is committed to developing tools that can help you share your values. Check out these values resources.

  • Be accountable
As a mentor or a mentee, you need to be accountable to one another. Being accountable means being willing to accept responsibility for your actions. It also means owning up to your mistakes. Are you accountable to anyone? Find an accountability partner today.
