We help high priority poverty areas e.g. informal settlements by offering education, employment & recreation activities

More about my Cause

The Vision of the Viva Foundation of South Africa is to be instrumental in the transformation of informal settlement & other high-priority poverty areas into stable and safe neighbourhoods offering education, business-, employment and recreation opportunities to all members of the community. 
 
The aim is to establish service centres within the communities we serve, from where we can offer a palette of services with the help of strategic partners. 
 
Viva has 4 Focus Areas:

1. Early Childhood Development (The Viva Kids Early Learning Centres in Mamelodi East and Bushbuckridge)
2. Independent Education (The Viva Independent School in Mamelodi East)

3. Youth Development (Switch On Youth in Mamelodi East)

We have a centre in Mamelodi East, Bushbuckridge, Botrivier & Cullinan.

We serve more than 100 000 warm meals to children every year.

We have 35 full-time staff and every year, approximately 400 people volunteer for Viva.

Viva was founded in 2007 by Leon Kriel and Meleney Berry-Kriel.

Viva is also registered in Germany as Viva Foundation e.V.
