The Viva Village Independent School in the Alaska Informal Settlement, Mamelodi East, provides quality and equality in Education where it is needed most. We make use of converted shipping containers as classrooms and appoint a qualified and motivated faculty, providing an augmented CAPS Curriculum, Art Development and Music. The education, plus the School Feeding Scheme currently costs between R 500 000.00 and R 900 000.00 per Grade depending on the number of learners per Grade and the level of the Grade. We create a partnership between our organisation, the beneficiaries and sponsors, to cover this cost, making it possible to offer the education to the families at less than a third of the actual cost. Regular monthly donations are needed in the form of individual, child sponsorships, or in the form of Corporate Sponsorships of a Grade
