Help TUNMISE JOHNSON HOUSEHOLD FOUNDATION with 10 volunteers for Clothes Upcycling and shoe revamping

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Our project focuses on upcycling donated clothes and shoes, giving them a fresh, new look for our Shop-for-Free Trade Fair. The event will take place once we’ve compiled 10,000 items of clothing to distribute to underserved communities. We’re seeking cobblers and fashion designers passionate about volunteering to repair and upcycle these items, especially those requiring alterations. Additionally, we need the support of dry cleaners to help clean and prepare the clothes for packaging. Join us in making a difference by transforming pre-loved clothing into something extraordinary while supporting those in need!

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
  6. 6Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
  7. 7Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
