How can you help?

Help The Parent Centre raise R360,000 for Counselling to underpriviledge individuals

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Parents and caregivers seek counselling because they have difficulties in their parent-child relationships or are struggling to cope with children who are depressed; aggressive; rebellious; refusing to attend school or on drugs. Parents often contact The Parent Centre for help when they are extremely stressed or even desperate. More and more grandparents are seeking counselling as they are struggling to raise grandchildren left in their care. An increasing number of parents who are struggling to cope with parenting and are being investigated for child neglect or abuse are ordered by the Childrends Court to attend counselling at The Parent Centre. Through supporting The Parent Centre’s counselling service, you will be providing opportunity for stressed parents to receive professional care, support and guidance that will help them to cope better and provide their children with love and care. An example of impact: “…my marriage broke up and my son became involved with unsavory friends and started smoking dagga and bunking school. I phoned The Parent Centre for help and because of the advice I received in my counseling sessions, my son completed his matric. He is now in his second year of university”. The world is in such turmoil and at war. Peace starts at home, with empathic and loving parents. As Mother Theresa once said, “If you want to change the world, go home and love your family”.
