Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Backyard Farmers is a community-rooted non-profit organization committed to addressing food insecurity, environmental degradation, and youth empowerment through hands-on agricultural and recycling education in under-resourced communities. As we grow and scale impactful programs such as our Smart Eco-Parks, Schools-Recycling Program, and Garden-School Environmental Education, it has become critical for us to ensure that our financial systems are as robust and transparent as the work we do on the ground. We are seeking qualified accounting and auditing professionals or firms who can assist us with: 1. Annual financial audits 2. Review and strengthening of internal controls 3. Preparation of compliant financial statements 4. Financial reporting support for donor accountability 5. Guidance on sustainable financial management practices for non-profits This support will help us meet the compliance requirements of funders and regulatory bodies, build credibility, and operate with integrity as we serve our communities. Whether you're a seasoned accountant, an auditing firm, or a financial consultant with a heart for development work, your expertise can help us protect and grow the seeds we’ve planted.
