The RhoNaFlo Foundation is a grassroots, community-based organization located in Zimbabwe, dedicated to advocating for reproductive justice, maternal health, and the rights of adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), with a particular emphasis on teen mothers. Founded by Zimbabwean-Canadian reproductive justice advocate and health equity specialist Chipo Tsitsi Mlambo, RhoNaFlo is committed to empowering adolescent girls, teen mothers, and survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) through community-led solutions. Our Purple Door Program trains "community grandmothers" (Licensed Traditional Birth Attendants) to operate 24/7 safe havens that provide crisis shelter, clean birth kits ($50), postpartum care, legal assistance, and nutrition packs. We address critical issues such as mitigating maternal mortality, malnutrition, and systemic neglect through trauma-informed support.
