Help RHONAFLO FOUNDATION by Donating funds towards birthkits and food provisions for Pregnant and breastfeeding children under 18
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
At RhoNaFlo, we combine emergency shelter with clean birth kits, postpartum support, family planning workshops, and referral pathways to police, clinics, and courts. Our Grandmothers are trained in trauma-informed care, legal literacy, and mental health first aid, acting as bridges between vulnerable girls and formal institutions. 2. Birth Preparedness and Clean Birth Kits Unsafe births are a leading cause of maternal and neonatal mortality in Zimbabwe, particularly among adolescent mothers. RhoNaFlo distributes clean birth kits valued at $50 each, which include surgical and non-surgical components like sterile gloves, surgical blades, cotton wool, disinfectant, cord clamps etc. These kits are accompanied by community-based triage, escort services to health facilities, and postnatal monitoring by our Purple Door grandmothers. 3. Emergency Nutrition for Teen Mothers Teen mothers, many of whom are abandoned by families or partners, often suffer from food insecurity. This results in malnourished mothers and babies, with some newborns tragically dying from preventable hunger. RhoNaFlo provides food hampers containing nutrient-rich items like porridge mix, peanut butter, fortified mealie meal, and beans. These food packs sustain both the mother and child during the critical postpartum period, supporting healthy lactation and survival. The work of RhoNaFlo is about restoring dignity, protecting life, and building futures. We do this through grassroots care, survivor-led advocacy, and systems change. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us push the boundaries of what’s possible for girls who have been too often left behind. With your support, we can continue to save lives. Help us.
