Help Lesedi la Batho by Donating Clothing, Shoes, Toys and Homeware for Monthly Fundraising Community Markets

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Please consider donating your second-hand clothing, shoes, toys and homeware to our community centre in Mabopane. On a monthly basis, Lesedi la Batho hosts market days at which we sell high quality donated goods for super low prices, making them accessible to community members and helping the organisation raise sustainable funding for our operations. For example, the proceeds raised from our most recent Market Day helped us to service 12 sewing machines for our skills training courses, purchase three brand new ones, as well as materials needed for this upcoming semester. It is not easy for NGO's to keep the doors open in these trying economical times - thus we pursue ethical income-generating ventures to raise funding from within our own communities. Please note that should any beneficiary we work with be in need of donations, this is our first priority. We regularly donate clothing, shoes, toys and homeware to needy families, and whatsoever may be left over at the end of the month is sold secondarily at the market. Please reach out to us if you have any second-hand goods to donate to a great cause! "One man's trash is another man's treasure."
