Help Elsen Academy raise R8 000 for psycho-metric assessment needed for exam concessions

Elsen Academy is an independent school that caters for children with special educational needs. We write our external exams through SACAI (South African Comprehensive Assessment Institute). Our dyslexic students require certain concessions in order to be able to perform on the same level as their non-dyslexic peers i.e. they can apply to have a scribe or a reader for when they write tests and exams but in order to receive this concession from SACAI, they need to be assessed. There are only a few psychologists who offer this kind of assessment and these tests are expensive. Many of our parents sacrifice a lot to be able to send their children to Elsen Academy and often they do not have the means to have these assessments conducted and therefore, the child is further disadvantaged. We are planning to create a special fund for this sole purpose and the donations will be shared among deserving candidates.
