More about Africa Matters Initiative
Africa Matters Initiative is a youth-led, pan-African organisation building leadership and social entrepreneurship pipelines for Africa’s next generation. For the past decade, we have partnered with young people across the continent to strengthen leadership capacity, support community-rooted innovation, and advance youth-led advocacy that challenges and reshapes societal norms. To date, we have reached over 37,000 African youth and members of the diaspora through our flagship programmes, the Africa Matters Ambassadors Program (AMAP), ShE is Empowered Program (ShE), ShE Is Empowered (ShE), and the Her Environment, Her Future (HEHF), as well as events and digital engagement. We collaborate with a range of stakeholders as implementation and learning partners, designing bespoke, context-responsive programmes, workshops, and convenings that equip young leaders with the skills, confidence, and networks needed to create sustained social impact.
