FRIDA HARTLEY SHELTER FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN

FHS is an organisation that takes in homeless women and children fleeing from an abusive home situation, an abusive intimate partner, victims of rape and displacement due to socio-economic issues. The shelter aims to empower women through providing accommodation, psycho-social support, employment, and training as well as nutrition and childcare to the children housed at the shelter with their mother. We run hunger relief Community Outreach Program, where we serve about 300 people on average every Friday and for some, this is the only meal that they get to eat a day.
