Goldilocks and The Bear Foundation

Goldilocks and the Bear Foundation (gb4adhd) provides free ADHD and mental health screening and intervention for children from underprivileged communities. We assist these families to access the appropriate services within the Department of Health or do more assessments through a network of health care volunteers (optometrists, audiologists, psychometrists/ psychologists). Through improving mental health, we aim to remove these barriers to education and in doing so improve the quality of life and opportunities children in impoverished communities. We also specialise in the follwoing training and ADHD awareness: - For teachers other NPOs and community workers: Creating awareness about ADHD and how to identify symptoms in children. - For parents: Parental guidance workshops by mental health practitioners. - For mental health nurses and MOs: Basics of ADHD and the treatment.
