Steps Clubfoot Care

STEPS gives children born with clubfoot the best chance for a happy, healthy and active life by supporting effective treatment. We support newborn children born with clubfoot up to age five. The majority are from impoverished communities. Treating clubfoot is a solution to one of the root causes of poverty – disability. Early intervention and treatment prevents a lifetime of disability. Clubfoot sufferers are unable to access education or contribute to their community and the country’s economy. In addition, they are shunned by their communities and often live in pain, shame and isolation. If treated at an early age, the problem of clubfoot is solved. Effective clubfoot treatment means that a child can run, walk, play sport and go to school – with all the enjoyment and freedom that results from full mobility and straightened, flexible feet.
