Help Mpumalanga Youth Council Org Drop in Centre by donating food & other basic necessities for the young people who are experiencing hunger & poverty
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Many of the young people participating in MYCO's programs come from low-income households where access to nutritious, consistent meals is a significant challenge. Hunger and food insecurity are major barriers that prevent these youth from being able to fully engage, learn, and thrive. MYCO operates several youth centers that provide after-school activities, life skills training, and other vital resources. However, the organization has struggled to maintain a reliable supply of healthy food to offer participants during program hours. A consistent donation of shelf-stable food items, fresh produce, and other nutritious supplies would allow MYCO to implement a regular meal or snack program at their centers. This would ensure the youth have access to the fuel they need to stay energized, focused, and engaged throughout the day. Beyond just meeting an immediate need, providing food support also has long-term benefits. When young people don't have to worry about where their next meal is coming from, they can dedicate more time and mental energy towards their education, personal development, and future goals. Recommended food donation items include: Canned goods (vegetables, beans, soups, etc.) Whole grains (rice, pasta, oats, etc.) Peanut butter, jelly, and other spreads Fresh fruits and vegetables Lean proteins (canned tuna, chicken, etc.) Healthy snacks (granola bars, trail mix, etc.) Your donation of any of these nutritious food items, or a financial contribution to support MYCO's food program, can have a profound impact on the lives of youth in the Mpumalanga region. It's a simple but powerful way to help end hunger and unlock new opportunities for personal growth.
