Help Breath of Life by donating infacare 1 formula for the vulnerable babies staying in our place of safety.

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Breath of Life has a temporary safe care home where we take care of vulnerable babies from preemie to age 2 year (sometimes to 3 years depending on the babies circumstances). One of the items that we very seldom get donated and that we are in desperate need of is baby formula. At Breath of Life we use Infacare 1, Infacare 2, and Infacare 3. Currently with the number of babies in our care we are making 11,520 liters of formula a day which equates to about 96 bottles. A 1,8kg tin of formula doesn't go very far. Today we only have enough formula to last us the week. If you don't live in East London and would still like to donate you can make use of Takealot, Checkers 60/60, Dischem and any other shopping service that delivers formula to our door. You are also welcome to make a donation to us with reference formula and we will be able to go out and purchase the much needed formula.

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
  6. 6Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
  7. 7Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
