Help Childline Gauteng raise R100,000 for our emergency afterhours Safe House for children

The safe house provides emergency after hour care for children who have been removed from life threatening circumstances. The South African Police Service (SAPS) bring the child/ren into overnight care and they are referred to statutory services for further investigation and suitable placement. They are welcomed by our child and youth care workers and the team is able to assess each child’s needs immediately. The children are given a warm bath, a meal and debriefing, including an explanation of the process of care. A starter pack is given to each child with the basic necessities and toiletries.
