Celebrate Family Day by doing something GOOD with your family.

The best way to teach your family compassion is to get out there and get involved. Help build our country together.

Volunteering is a great way for kids and adults to make new friends, develop compassion for their neighbours and even pick up a new skill or two!

Young kids can go through unused toys and put them aside for an ECD Centre in your area. Older children can help by spending time with a Cause, seeing what they do and finding ways to assist. Married couples can see how they can use their combined skills to Volunteer and create Impact. There’s something for everyone!

This day was originally called Easter Monday and was renamed Family Day in 1995 to give South Africans an extra day off to spend with their families. On this day, people take a break from the grind and gather around their families to enjoy quality time. The importance of Family Day is uniting families together in the spirit of the holiday. No better way to do so than to find ways to help your surrounding community!
