African Scholars Fund

The African Scholars Fund (ASF) is an education support organisation that, through awards and guidance, assists promising high school learners from rural and township schools to complete their secondary education. Established in 1970, our vision is simple: A South Africa where children's secondary educational outcomes are not determined by geographical location or financial resources. We operate in 3 of South Africa's provinces - Northern, Western, and Eastern Cape - providing two modest but life-changing financial awards per year to the learners who are part of our programme. These financial contributions go toward helping learners purchase their uniforms, textbooks, and stationery - essential tools for learning. In addition to financial aid, we support our learners by offering comprehensive resources to assist them with study techniques, career guidance, and navigating the daunting process of university applications.
