Since 2007, CareerBuild has been on a mission to guide under-serviced South African youth out of school-leaving uncertainty and onto a concrete roadmap toward active economic participation. Over the last 19 years, our curriculum has empowered more than 12,000 learners across the country—recently helping drive a partner school's matric pass rate in Umlazi up to 100% and launching a circuit-leading 93.2% pass rate in the deep rural North West. What makes our cause unique is our incredibly lean, high-impact structure. We run our entire nationwide footprint with just one full-time employee and a powerful network of passionate volunteers. Because our professional sub-committees (covering finance, legal, and marketing) and our Saturday mentorship labs are entirely volunteer-driven, we carry almost zero corporate overhead.
