Christine Revell Children's Home

A Trust has been set up to oversee the operations of the Home and Trustee's meet quarterly and a Management Committee meet monthly to guide the Homes management. We can accommodate up to 50 abused, abandoned and neglected children aged from birth to 5,5 years old providing them with a secure temporary home, balanced meal plans and educational activities including an Early Childhood Programme. We receive close to 60% of our funding from the Western Cape Department of Social Development and the we fund raise for the balance which we are finding more and more difficult. Our building is some 60 years old and require regular maintenance. We employ 24 staff members, some of whom have been employed for over 30 years creating a stable environment for the traumatised children.
