DAKTARI welcomed 16 community stakeholders—including village chiefs, teachers, and local members—for a meaningful visit and shared lunch. Together, they explored ways to better support youth, discussed important topics like boundaries and consent, and considered joining resources to help talented students access extra training. It was a hopeful and inspiring day of connection, unity, and shared purpose for a stronger future.

This weekend, DAKTARI welcomed 16 local partners—including community members, village chiefs, and school teachers—for a special visit and lunch with Camilla and Michele. It was a beautiful moment of connection, where everyone could see the impact of our work and share ideas for a better future. The group spoke openly about boundaries, consent, and the challenges facing local youth. What touched us most was their willingness to work together to support talented students from underprivileged backgrounds. Conversations even explored joining forces to help children access extra training in maths and English. Seeing these leaders talk, listen, and dream together filled us with hope. It reminded us that real change happens when a community unites with care, respect, and a shared vision for South Africa’s future.
