FoodForward SA is South Africa's largest food redistribution organisation, operating in all nine provinces to address food insecurity while reducing food waste. Established in 2009, we recover good quality food that cannot be sold from farmers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers, and redistribute it through a network of more than 2,200 registered beneficiary organisations. As the only food bank in South Africa that is part of the Global FoodBanking Network, we use an efficient food banking model to ensure nutritious food reaches the people who need it most. Our beneficiary organisations include early childhood development centres, schools, shelters, homes for the elderly, community kitchens, and organisations supporting women, children, and people living with chronic illnesses.
