More about Godisanang OVC
Organisational Background The Godisanang Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Programme is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation established in 2005 to address the needs of orphaned and vulnerable children (OVCs) within and around the Royal Bafokeng Nation. Currently, Godisanang operates seven centres in the following areas: • Phokeng: Lefaragatlha, Masosobane, and Salema • Macharora: Mafenya, Chaneng, Robega, and Rasimone In addition, the programme collaborates with Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres and schools across the Royal Bafokeng Nation. We provide aftercare services to 1,390 children, Monday to Friday, offering: • Psychosocial support and basic counselling • Educational and homework assistance • Nutritious, cooked meals • Material support • Child protection services • Adherence support for children on chronic medication • Spiritual guidance We also conduct home-based outreach, supporting families with: • Applications for identity documents, ...
