More about Greenhouse Foundation
Greenhouse Foundation is a registered NPC, NPO and PBO established in 2007. We provide QCTO-accredited job-readiness and entrepreneurship programmes that equip unemployed youth with practical workplace, business and personal-development skills. Our programmes cover CV preparation, interview skills, workplace readiness, communication, teamwork, financial literacy, problem-solving, business planning and entrepreneurship. We also provide mentoring and support to help participants find employment, start businesses and build sustainable livelihoods. To date, we have trained and supported more than 20,000 beneficiaries. However, South Africa’s official youth unemployment rate for people aged 15–34 is 45.8%, while unemployment among those aged 15–24 is 60.9%. The demand for our programmes is therefore much greater than our current resources.
