Our mission is to assist children/ youth to overcome difficult life circumstances by building resilience physically, emotionally and psychologically, using a Right’s-based framework, so they are able to realise their full potential and contribute to the building and future of South Africa We use Asset Based Community Development within a Rights Based Framework. KTD196 provide life skills training, support and advocacy. KTD196 has 1,200 orphan and vulnerable children who attend a structured self-development program on a weekly basis. -Teenage pregnancy is 13 % nationally annually - in 22yrs we have had 12girls become pregnant in over 18,000 girls attending our program. - Teenage suicide is 12.9% we have 0% - Matric pass Govt 65% KTD196 pass rate93% KTD196 has 130 groups of 20 women, representing 2,000 families in over 30 communities.
