Granny Knitting Day Donation Request. In honour of the women in our community, Light of Nation Youth will host a Granny Knitting Day as part of our Women’s Month community outreach. The purpose of the day is to give back to the grannies who have given so much to our community. We aim to provide them with knitting materials and food, while creating a warm, welcoming space built on care, connection, and dignity.

The aim of the day is to give back by providing our grannies with knitting materials and food, while creating a space of care, connection, and dignity. This day is about more than service — it’s about showing that together we can make a lasting difference. We would like to kindly request your support through funding and/or donations. Whether it’s a monetary contribution, wool, knitting needles, crochet hooks, or any other items, every contribution will go directly toward making this event a success and bringing comfort and joy to those who need it most. We would truly appreciate your partnership in making this Women’s Day meaningful.
