Magnet Theatre is one of South Africa’s best known independent physical theatre companies that run multi-layered educational programmes that are aimed at filling skills gaps in the theatre industry and transforming young people’s lives. We provide the only no-fee theatre arts ‘trade school’ of its kind in the Western Cape. It is evidenced to provide marginalised youth with access to tertiary education and employment opportunities. Our projects empower and develop youth to become role models and leaders in their communities and the creative industry, offering a very significant investment in unemployed and under-privileged youth.
