Makwande Community Development Project

We are a Non Profit Organisation (NPO) that provides support, relief and skills development to vulnerable populations in order to improve their quality of life. This is done through the following programmes: 1. Makwande Brains Tutoring Programme - We assist underprivileged learners with school work through homework support and tutoring to ensure that their school performance and grades improve. We also offer career guidance, exhibitions and excursions to equip learners with skills to make informed decisions on which career paths they would like to follow. We have incorporated learning through play (drama, story telling) to ensure that learners from grade 3 to 7 improve in literacy and numeracy. 2. Gear Up Skills Training - We conduct life skills sessions with adolescents, youth and adults to equip them with different skills to tackle social ills that cause disharmony in families and the community.
