Manger Care Centre (MCC) is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) established in 1986. For over 40 years, we have been dedicated to the upliftment of society’s most vulnerable members. What began as a humble feeding scheme has evolved into a comprehensive community development organization providing shelter, skills training, and sustainable livelihoods. Our Story began 40 years agoand our Mission is to manage projects that provide food, clothing, skills development, employment opportunities, and rehabilitation services, empowering the vulnerable to feel valuable as society members. That includes: Sustainability in Action Manger Care Centre reduces dependency on traditional donations through active Social Enterprises. By running income-generating projects, we not only cover operational costs but provide real-world vocational training grounds for our beneficiaries. Commercial Bakery Producing high-quality baked goods for the local market while training artisan bakers in a functioning production environment. Manufacturing & Agriculture Steel fabrication workshops and sustainable farming initiatives (cabbage, spinach, livestock) that feed our shelters and fund our mission Manger Care Centre Bakery The MCC Bakery is a fully operational, skills-driven enterprise offering vocational training in artisan baking. Learners receive hands-on instruction in a real-world environment, covering everything from food safety to point-of-sale skills. Manger Marine Manger Marine offers safe, independent living for the elderly and people with disabilities in Tshwane. Far from institutional, this is a home anchored in dignity, where residents enjoy privacy, support, and the freedom to live with autonomy. Robmen House Robmen House is a home for independent living that offers enduring care, dignity, and a sense of belonging to individuals living with physical and intellectual disabilities. It is a family setting where residents are cared for. Manna Soup Kitchen Through a carefully managed support programme, MCC delivers fresh, high quality ingredients directly to Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres, where meals are prepared on-site. Participation is subject to a due diligence process to ensure safe handling, child welfare standards, and accountability. Manufacturing & Fabrication This initiative focuses on Enterprise Development (ED), Supplier Development (SD), and Socio-Economic Development (SED) through the production of high-impact agricultural and industrial goods. Products include greenhouse tunnels, steel gates, trailers, poultry starter houses, and firefighting equipment. The program operates as a skills development and job creation engine, delivering practical, hands-on training in welding, fabrication, and basic engineering to build technical proficiency, work-readiness, and long-term economic participation. Eden Eden is more than a shelter—it is a structured refuge for those facing profound life disruptions. We welcome destitute individuals, recovering addicts, ex-parolees, and the unemployed, offering a stabilizing environment rooted in structure. Seedlings Project Our Seedlings Project is a core component of our social enterprise model. We cultivate high-quality vegetable and herb seedlings, providing hands-on horticultural training for beneficiaries and generating sustainable income to fund our wider community programs. Skills & Economic Development This project of MCC is focused on increasing sustainable agricultural economic development in line with the 2030 National Development Plan of South Africa. This project specializes in providing AgriSETA accredited agricultural training, NQF1-4 to rural communities, homeless beneficiaries, and learners from surrounding communities. Bapsfontein Centre The Bapsfontein Shelter is a launchpad for reinvention. Here, individuals experiencing homelessness are welcomed into a supportive environment that combines safe accommodation with hands-on agricultural and entrepreneurial training.
