More about National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI)
National Sea Recue Institute - saving lives, changing lives, and creating futures since 1967. Our highly skilled and passionate volunteers are available day and night, and throughout the year, to come to the rescue of those who find themselves in peril in water along our coast and inland waterways and dams. The NSRI teaches progressive Water Safety and Drowning Prevention Education and Survival Swimming in schools – focusing on those in under-resourced and rural areas. Our projects also include Survival Swimming Centres, Pink Rescue Buoys, remote camera monitoring of certain beaches, a 24-hour Emergency Operations Centre and lifeguarding. The NSRI is a volunteer-driven, registered non-profit organisation which is funded through donations and sponsorships.
