New World Foundation

The New World Foundation is a community-based non-profit organisation located in Lavender Hill, established in 1980 to support marginalised communities during apartheid and still active today in addressing ongoing social challenges. Its core mission is to promote hope, justice, and peace by tackling issues such as poverty, inequality, unemployment, and gender-based violence. The organisation runs a range of programmes including early childhood development (ECD), youth development and education support, skills training, and community advocacy, primarily serving Lavender Hill, Vrygrond, and Seawinds.
