Annual Care Drive 2021 : Siyakhula
The Care Drive is a RivLife initiative which promotes the physical development of young girls and addresses their personal hygiene needs through a mass sanitary collection.
This year, RivLife created the ambitious goal of 300 care packs! Each pack contains a sling bag, a beauty bar soap, a pack of sanitary towels as well as an anti-perspirant. In commemorating Women's Month, the beneficiaries of this drive are the grade 12 girls of our beneficairy schools. The drive is paired with an awareness campaign which focuses on promoting female health and personal care- a topic not often discussed in many communities. The beneficiaries of the 300 care packs are Sobantu High School and Eastwood Secondary School (Pietermaritzburg).
