More about SHINE Education Centre
SHINE is a registered NGO offering free numeracy, literacy and life skills enrichment on Saturday mornings to children between grades 4 and 9 since 2019. A dedicated team of volunteers prepares lessons, snacks and works with the children to help them reach their full potential. As needed, we facilitate interventions that support a child's learning journey, from reading glasses to educational psychology assessments for access school accommodations. SHINE has grown into weekdays when we offer affordable supervised homework, remedial intervention and workshops to enhance learning or close knowledge and understanding gaps. These are individual or small group sessions tailored to the needs of the children.
