St. Josephs Home

St. Joseph's is a bridge between hospital and home. If a child is not well enough to go home after their hospital treatment, St Joseph’s becomes their home until they have optimally recovered. The journey of a St Joseph’s child starts at a referral hospital or a community-based facility where they are being treated for a chronic or life-limiting condition. St Joseph’s is the only non-profit institution offering this service. A patient spends 6 months at St Joseph’s, receiving 24-hour nursing care and rehabilitation therapy. St Joseph’s holistic approach includes nutritional support, psycho-social support, logistical, educational and spiritual support and rehabilitation therapies including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy to facilitate the recovery process.
