How we enjoy Sport day

Here’s a fun and child-friendly story you can use for your ECD centre’s Sport Day: --- Our Fun Sport Day at Sthandokuhle ECD Centre It was a bright and sunny morning, and all the children at Sthandokuhle ECD Centre were so excited—it was Sport Day! The teachers decorated the playground with colourful balloons and flags. Parents and families came to watch, clapping their hands and cheering loudly. First, we started with a warm-up dance. Everyone moved their little arms and legs, laughing and smiling. Then the games began! The sack race made everyone giggle as children hopped and sometimes fell, but quickly stood up again. In the spoon-and-egg race, we walked slowly and carefully, trying not to drop the eggs. Some eggs rolled away, and the children laughed as teachers helped them start again. There was also a running race, where children ran as fast as they could, and the parents shouted, “Go! Go! Go!” The younger ones enjoyed the tug of war, pulling the rope together with their friends. After the games, everyone sat down to enjoy juice and fruit. The teachers gave each child a small medal and clapped for them because on Sport Day, everyone is a winner! We ended the day by singing our favourite songs and dancing together. The children went home happy, holding their medals and telling their families, “Today was the best Sport Day ever!”
