Moms with Purpose - Story of Hope

The SHINE programme is an 8-week women's empowerment journey developed and facilitated by Hillsong Africa Foundation. On 16 April 2026 twelve women of Sir Lowry's Pass embarked on this 8-week course. Each weekly session explored a specific theme designed to help participants discover and reclaim their identity, worth, and purpose. They testified of the personal growth they expereinced, and rediscovering their self-worth and purpose. "It helps moms understand themselves better, have more self-confidence and build better relationships with their families." "I was always withdrawn, too afraid to speak, and always thought I was ugly. Now I stand in front of the mirror and say: I am beautiful." "God placed us here for a reason. I could see a lot of love and know that I am not alone — there is light at the end of the tunnel. I don't have to go through this alone. There are people who care and love me." (Overall Self-Image, and sharing their light with others) We are committed to continue with the Moms With Purpose programme and expanding it by offering more interventions that can strengthen mothers, serve schools and transform communities.
