More about The Khanyisa Trust
The Khanyisa Trust is a community-based nonprofit organisation operating from Khanyisa House in Edenvale, Gauteng. We are committed to supporting homeless, vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and families through food security, community outreach and practical empowerment initiatives. Our feeding programme operates six days a week, providing thousands of meals each month through our soup kitchen, takeaway meals and outreach partnerships. For many of our beneficiaries, this assistance provides essential daily support during difficult circumstances. Recognising that sustainable community upliftment requires more than immediate food relief, we launched Vuka Hub in August 2025 as skills upliftment initiative. Vuka Hub aims to equip unemployed and disadvantaged people with practical skills that can improve their confidence, independence and opportunities to earn an income.
