An Easter Celebration Filled with Joy and Kindness

Woodside Sanctuary celebrated a joyful and memorable Easter on 7 April 2026, thanks to the generosity of numerous donors, organisations, and volunteers. Easter egg donations, an exciting Easter egg hunt, and special time spent with University of Johannesburg nursing students brought laughter, companionship, and happiness to our residents, creating precious memories and reminding them that they are loved and valued.

On 7 April 2026, Woodside Sanctuary was filled with excitement, laughter, and the sweet spirit of Easter as our residents enjoyed a truly memorable celebration made possible by the kindness of so many generous supporters. We were blessed to receive wonderful Easter egg donations from organisations and groups including FLOURISH, the University of Johannesburg Department of Nursing, Rotary New Dawn Johannesburg, Mosaic, and Jappari School, amongst many others whose generosity helped make the day so special. One of the highlights of the celebration was the time spent with the nursing students from the University of Johannesburg, who shared laughter, companionship, and joy with our angels throughout the day. Together, they took part in an exciting Easter egg hunt that brought endless smiles and excitement to our residents. The Sanctuary was alive with happiness as colourful Easter eggs were discovered, treats were shared, and precious memories were created. More than just gifts, these moments reminded our residents that they are loved, valued, and supported by a caring community. At Woodside Sanctuary, days like these mean so much. They bring light, connection, and joy into the lives of our angels and create memories that stay in our hearts long after the celebration ends. From all of us at Woodside, thank you to every donor, volunteer, and supporter who helped make Easter 2026 such a beautiful and unforgettable occasion.
