YAWA Foundation

We are a community based organisation, we promote STEM subjects and literacy through our practical learning experiences. We provide grades 6 till 9 students with a platform where they can showcase their understanding of science, maths, technology and English by taking part in our programs( curriculum Readiness program school holidays, participating in science, technology and maths competition outside the competition their schools exposes them to) and in fighting the alarming high rate of students reading without understanding we have substituted the Engineering element of the acronym STEM to English and challenge the students to discover how much they really understand when they read. We have a partnership with the Allan Gray Orbis scholarship where these students get to apply and explore such great opportunities available to them.
