Help Human Rights Screened Foundation by Donating 2 Whiteboards (any size from 2 x m onwards) for Planning GBVF Awareness & MSafety Book

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

The Human Rights Screened Foundation needs two pre-loved whiteboards in good condition to help our team plan, share ideas and coordinate the research, development and distribution of our GBVF safety handbook. Working stands or mounting fittings would be appreciated, along with whiteboard markers and erasers if available. Our aim is to distribute the GBVF Awareness & Safety handbook in print and online across every province, including the most remote rural communities. We plan editions in major South African languages and widely spoken international languages used in South Africa, making practical information accessible to more people. Every citizen needs to understand their rights, recognise abuse and know where to seek support. Please help us turn our planning into practical community education at a time when this information is urgently needed.

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1. Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2. When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3. Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4. Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5. If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
  6. 6. Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
  7. 7. Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
