Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
This July, in celebration of Nelson Mandela’s birthday month, we are hosting a Moral Regeneration Month Film Festival inside a Department of Correctional Services (DCS) facility. This initiative is part of a broader effort to revive Madiba’s lesser-known but deeply important legacy — the Moral Regeneration Movement (MRM). While many South Africans honour Mandela Day through the popular 67 minutes of service, few remember that Mandela also initiated July as Moral Regeneration Month, calling on the nation to rebuild its moral compass and restore the values of dignity, compassion, accountability, and ethical leadership. Through this film festival, we are not only reviving the MRM — we are creating a meaningful and restorative platform: The event will take place inside a correctional facility to promote rehabilitation and hope. 10 parolees (graduates of the Human Rights Screened Foundation’s reintegration support) will work alongside 10 Foundation crew members, creating a united team that exemplifies second chances and transformation in action. By involving parolees in the production, we are empowering them economically, morally, and socially — giving them real responsibility, visibility, and purpose. We are now requesting 20 branded MRM crew kits, specifically: 20 printed T-shirts 20 branded caps 20 lanyards These items will give the team a strong sense of identity, pride, and professionalism. For many parolees, wearing a crew shirt and cap represents more than a role — it signifies belonging, dignity, and growth. It helps shift public perception and gives the team a visible, respected role in promoting Madiba’s forgotten moral vision. This festival is about more than film. It’s about healing, restoration, and building the kind of society Nelson Mandela dreamed of — and we invite you to be part of that journey.
