Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Building strong foundations in the critical subjects of Maths, Science and Language at primary school level is vital for children to progress successfully through school. Just one skilled, knowledgeable and resourced primary school teacher will benefit hundreds of children. The proper training and retention of quality teachers in the South African education system is therefore a key priority. PSP’s strength lies in supporting teachers to teach these subjects in challenging circumstances. We use practical methodologies in our education and training of teachers that place children at the centre of teaching and learning. We also develop specialised materials to support teachers and children. The Covid-19 pandemic has severely disrupted teaching and learning globally, the after effects of which will be felt for years to come. Now more than ever teachers need support and encouragement. PSP has responded flexibly to this with a blended approach of both online and face to face training and support for which we need reliable technology.

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
