Help Masechaba Foundation of Hope by Donating food for Struggling families
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
We are scaling up our regular community feeding scheme to launch a critical monthly food parcel expansion. This drive explicitly protects 50 pre-vetted, high-vulnerability households in the Roodepoort area—specifically prioritizing 25 child-headed families, 15 destitute single parents, and 10 grandparent-led families. In total, this project provides a vital daily nutrition lifeline to 250 individual beneficiaries facing severe hardship. What we accept and how you can assist: • Bulk Dry Goods & Groceries: Maize meal, rice, cooking oil, flour, dry beans, split peas, lentils, sugar, and tea. • Canned Foods & Proteins: Tinned fish (pilchards/tuna), baked beans, tinned vegetables, peanut butter, and jam. • Breakfast & Child Nutrition: Instant porridge, cereals, and long-life milk. • Basic Family Hygiene Items: Bath soap, toothpaste, washing powder, and sanitary pads. • Financial Sponsoring: Grocery vouchers or direct contributions to buy bulk ingredients. Drop-off & Logistical Details: Donations can be safely dropped off at our base in Weltevredenpark, Roodepoort. If you are a corporate team or individual with a large bulk donation, please reach out to us directly—we can arrange to collect the stock using our volunteer network. Corporate Tax & Scorecard Benefits: Masechaba Foundation of Hope is an authorized Public Benefit Organisation (PBO Ref No: 930089312 / NPO 333-956). We can issue official Section 18A Tax-Exempt Certificates for all monetary and physical grocery donations. Additionally, our 100% black beneficiary profile allows your contribution to count fully toward your corporate B-BBEE Socio-Economic Development (SED) points. Every item donated helps ensure a child or elderly gogo in our neighborhood does not face chronic hunger. Thank you for your kindness and support!
