Help Where Rainbows Meet Training and Development Foundation by Donating + Funding Classroom & Educational Resources for The Uneducated or Vulnerable Children of Vrygrond.
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
A stable, high quality education remains unattainable for many children and teenagers in Vrygrond, Cape Town. Our mission, therefore, is fostering their learning and keeping them off the streets as much as possible. Crime and violence plaguing the communities of Vrygrond means that the children we take care of are vulnerable to being inducted or indoctrinated into gang activities, drugs or similar. Therefore, donations supporting our educational support are much valued. Our Early Child Development Programme provides children with addict parents with daycare, language learning and dance programmes. Donations such as colouring materials, jigsaw puzzles, language books for young children educational puzzles are much needed. Our Youth Programme supports the teenagers of Vrygrond who are prone to dropping out of high school due to lack of familial support, influence from gangs, inability to cope and more. For them, we offer language and social sciences assignments, performing arts and life skills such as computer training and entrepreneurship. Donations such as pens, pencils, exercise books, intermediary and advanced language and social science educational and reading books, backpacks and printer ink cartridges are much needed. Direct donations or in the cash equivalent can be arranged through contacting Mymoena or Kyle using the information on www.whererainbowsmeet.org!
